What happens after the 14-day free trial?
Nothing changes until you enter a payment method in Account settings. If you don’t subscribe, you keep Free access (validation + leaderboard). No automatic charges.
Do I need my own Alpaca account?
Yes. VERTEX uses your own Alpaca API key for market data and paper trading. We never redistribute data. You can connect a free Alpaca account in 2 minutes at /connect.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from Account settings. Your Pro access continues through the end of the billing period. No cancellation fees, no lock-in.
What data sources do you use?
Market data comes from Alpaca Markets (IEX or SIP feed depending on your tier). StockTwits data is from the public API. We cache and anonymize; we never sell your data.
Is this financial advice?
No. VERTEX is a research and analytics tool. All backtests and validations are hypothetical / past performance. Nothing constitutes a recommendation. See our Terms.
